Fatou Diop coordinates African Services’ sexual and reproductive health education initiative, which provides education, counseling and access to care for women and youth. Fatou also works in our testing center and supports efforts to reach out to high-risk social networks and promote HIV testing among peer groups. She has been an advocate for the health of immigrants in New York City for many years and previously worked at Planned Parenthood of New York City and Iris House. Fatou is a trained physician with a degree from the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Senegal. She is certified in HIV counseling and has also worked as certified nursing assistant. Fatou speaks French and Wolof, in addition to English.
