The Milk Money Project
As part of the POSITIVE KIDS project, we introduced groups of children in Ethiopia and Harlem to the art of Yinka Shonibare, MBE. They then created their own paintings on Vlisco fabric, the same material Shonibare uses in Prospero’s Monsters.
Their artwork is available for sale for $60 each, which covers the cost of milk and vitamins for one child for a year. Nutrition is essential for children on HIV treatment to enable them metabolize their medication and to boost their immune system. You can purchase a piece here and at the gallery on the night of the event—May 15.
100% of all funds raised will support treatment, care and support of children living with HIV. |
