Sean
Brennan is the Assistant Director of Health Programs, responsible for
supervision and oversight of African Services’ outreach, testing,
medical escort/interpretation and independent living skills programs.
He also contributes to monitoring and evaluation of programs and
reporting. Prior to joining African Services, Sean worked at the World
Food Programme in Kampala, Uganda and at the Food and Agriculture
Organization in Rome, Italy. He holds a BA in economics and Asian
studies from Swarthmore College and an MPH with a specialization in
international health from the University of California, Berkeley.
Sean's primary interests include participatory research methodology in
African health and development, community-based interventions, and
innovative uses of health media. Mr. Brennan was born in Rwanda and
raised in Africa, Asia and Europe. He speaks English and Italian, as
well as some Kiswahili, Amharic, French and Chinese.
