Sean
is a staff attorney for legal services program representing clients in
a wide range of matters including housing, discrimination, consumer,
wills and trusts, and family law. Before joining African Services, Sean
was a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Prior
to that, he clerked for the Honorable Robert L. Carter in the Southern
District of New York. During his law school summers, Sean worked at the
Group for Women's Rights in Belgrade, Serbia, working on international
human rights issues, and at the California Appellate Project in San
Francisco, working on death penalty appeals. Before law school, Sean
taught English and Spanish at L'Ecole Louverture Cleary in
Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. He also worked as an advocate for child
victims of domestic violence and as a guardian ad litem in his hometown
of Miami, Florida. Sean holds a B.A. in history from the University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is
proficient in Spanish and speaks some Haitian-Creole.
