Hilary is a legal assistant with African Services' legal program that advocates for the legal rights of immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers including people living with HIV and other vulnerable groups. He conducts intake interviews with clients and assists in preparing motions and files for court processing and litigation. Prior to joining African Services, Hilary worked as jurist consult for the International Tort for Tortured Victims Center Yaoundé (ITT-VC), and later as junior professional with the UNU-Office at the United Nation headquarters in New York and as program coordinator /legal assistant with Espoir Inc. New York. He earned a “Maitrise en Droit” from the University of Yaoundé II-Cameroon and a master’s degree in international business law from the Central European University Budapest. He is a research fellow at the Queens Research Institute London. Of Cameroonian nationality; Hilary is interested in international criminal justice and conflict resolution. He speaks French, Moghamo, Douala and Pidgin English in addition to English.
