Monique
Millane brings her extensive experience in the arts to our Board
helping African Services with event production and fundraising.
Originally from Australia, she earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts
from the State University of New York at New Paltz and began her career
as a lighting designer for the theatre in 1990. She toured Europe,
South America and the United States, and her credits include “Pavarotti
in Concert,” the Universal Ballet Company, George Street Playhouse, and
the Actors Alliance Studio of New York City. Over the past several
years, Ms. Millane has been hosting events to exhibit the works of
rising artists at her home in Watermill, New York. In 2007, she was
co-executive producer of a series of documentaries made by Students of
the World that featured African Services' work in Ethiopia. Monique
remains passionate about the arts, education and community service. In
1992, Ms. Millane married Curtis ter Kuile who is currently a Senior
Vice-President in wealth management at Smith Barney. Together, they
live in New York City where they are raising their three children.
