Josephine Munkomba immigrated to the U.S. from Zambia in 2004 and has been an active member in the African community in New York City since. She currently volunteers at African Services’ the testing center providing counseling, testing and referral to care for those with HIV, TB, STIs and other infectious diseases. A banker by profession, she has pursued health education and training since arrive in the U.S. completing ARRIVE’s program in HIV/AIDS and substance abuse, the Leadership Training Institute’s program for PWAs, and the LOTUS peer advocacy program. Josephine is also certified by the New York City Department of Health in HIV counseling, testing and confidentiality law.
