Jessica
Prud’homme is the supervising social worker coordinating African
Services' Family Case Management program. She provides counseling and
case management services to help HIV positive individuals and their
families navigate the medical, legal, educational and social systems
that surround them.
Born and raised in Mauritius, Jessica attended high school in
Bangalore, India. She arrived in the US in 1999 to pursue her education
and earned a BSW at Elizabethtown College and an MSW from Columbia
University with a concentration in practice and programming in
international social welfare. Before joining African Services, she was
a social worker at Lutheran Children and Family Service in the refugee
resettlement and immigration program where she provided direct services
to clients and collaborated with organizations and programs in the
community. She also worked at the International Institute of New Jersey
in the refugee youth advancement program and was a counselor in a
program for survivors of torture. She has traveled in Europe, Africa
and South East Asia and speaks French, in addition to English.
