Anthony
is the housing placement coordinator in African Sevices' HOPWA program
assisting HIV-positive clients to achieve permanent and sustainable
housing. He manages emergency transitional and permanent housing
placement, short-term rental assistance, and applications to the
Sustainable Living Fund. He also works closely with the family case
management and legal services programs to help eligible clients apply
for long-term benefits, including HASA. Anthony began working in the
social service field in 1993 as a site manager for an intensive care
facility and went on to be a residence manager in a scattered site
housing program, funded by DASIS (HASA), that provides housing to
people living with HIV/AIDS. He acquired over 300 units in his ten
years there. Anthony is currently pursuing his CASAC-T diploma as a
first step toward a degree in social work.
