Mr.
Kassogue is a health educator providing HIV prevention education and
promoting access to care for uninsured immigrants through African
Services’ partnership with Bellevue and Montefiore hospitals. He also
serves as a medical interpreter accompanying clients on medical
appointments throughout the city, providing translation, serving as a
patient advocate and supporting treatment adherence and follow-up care.
Prior to joining African Services, Mr. Kassogue managed his own company
exporting computers to his home country of Mali. He has also worked in
as an assistant manager for Taste Caterer, working with a variety of
customers and supply vendors. Mr. Kassogue is working towards an MBA in
management from Audrey Cohen College, and has a BS in computer
technology from LaGuardia College. Mr. Kassogue has a technical degree
in civil engineering and worked and managed home construction sites for
five years in Mali. Mr. Kassogue speaks French, Mandingo, Dogon, and
some Pulaar, in addition to English.
